Goucher 79, Gallaudet 66

TOWSON, Md. — Shadae Swan and Stacy Hollander combined to score 32 points tonight in leading Goucher to its third win of the season over Gallaudet, 79-66.

Hollander tallied all 14 of her points in the first half, which ended with the Gophers (6-8, 2-5 Capital Athletic Conference) ahead 34-30.

Swan finished with 18 points and has now scored in double figures in 16 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Johanna Karmgard was the leading scorer for Gallaudet as she knocked down 18 points.

The Bison (2-16, 0-8 Capital Athletic Conference) were ahead by as many as six points in the first half and took a 30-29 lead with 2:08 remaining before halftime on a pair of free throws by Jessica von Garrel. But the Gophers tallied the final five points of the period on a two-point basket by Swan and a three-pointer by Hollander.

The Gophers took the lead for good on a basket by Francheska Guilfu that snapped a 40-40 tie. Guilfu's field goal ignited a 25-5 run by Goucher that made the score 65-45 midway through the second half.

In addition to her 18 points, Swan supplied the Gophers with seven rebounds, four assists and eight steals.
