Austin kept the game close early and led 12-11 at the 12:10 mark. The Choctaws went on a 24-0 run over the next nine minutes to lead 35-12 to put the game away.
The #17 Choctaws were led by point guard Jonathan Collins who scored a game high 17 points on 8-8 shooting from the field. MC outrebounded the visiting Kangaroos 42-28.
Austin was led by Anthony Holman who finished with 13 points but was held to 6-18 shooting from the field. Parker Hammons added ten points and five rebounds.
The Choctaws hit the court again this Saturday against the University of the Ozarks at home. Game time is 3:00 p.m.
