Senior forward Danny Peterson scored 12 points for the Toms, who shot 63% from the field in the second half and 54% on the game (36-of-67). The Tommies maintained their one-game lead in the conference race over Carleton, an 18-point road winner at Hamline.
Rosefelt had his 25th double-double in 43 games at St. Thomas. He added four assists and three blocks while helping hold Mac standout Tom Conboy to half of his 20 ppg scoring average.
UST also received a season-high 41 bench points and outrebounded Macalester 46-30. The Toms have won 15 of their last 17 home games dating back to last season and have allowed just 54 ppg while scoring 82 ppg at home in 2005-06.
The Scots are 1-18 at Schoenecker Arena since 1989.
Conboy had 11 points and seven rebounds for the Scots, who shot just 27% from the field and made only 7-of-16 at the foul line.
St. Thomas broke to a 12-0 lead and built a 39-22 halftime lead. The Scots were never closer than 15 in the second half, and UST closed the game with a 33-11 run.
The Toms play Hamline at home Saturday, while Macalester is home to St. Mary's.
