Sophomore post Dustin Rudegeair nailed a jumper on the first possession of the game, and Chojnacki scored on a fast break after an Oberlin miss for a 4-0 Bishop lead. Chojnacki followed with a lay-in, senior guard Ross Rybarczyk scored on a fast break and Chojnacki sank a pair of free throws to stake Ohio Wesleyan to a 10-0 lead with 16:09 left in the first half.
Noah Goldman put the Yeomen on the scoreboard with a jumper, and Oberlin was within 8 points on 2 other occasions, the last when another Goldman jumper made it a 14-6 game with 14:50 left in the period.
Ohio Wesleyan answered with 8 straight points, getting a fast break lay-in from Chojnacki and 3-pointers from senior wing Andy Warnock and junior guard Matt Shirer to stretch the lead to 22-6.
The Bishops went on to lead 48-23 at the intermission, and pulled away in the second half.
Chojnacki led the Bishops with 12 points, while Warnock, Rudegeair and Shirer finished with 11 points apiece. Warnock led the Bishops with 9 rebounds and Rybarczyk, Warnock, sophomore guard Casey Teeters and freshman wing Kyle Holliday shared the team lead with 3 assists apiece.
Goldman and Mike Loll shared the Oberlin lead with 12 points apiece, while Quinton Spencer and Brad Spelich each kicked in 10 points. Loll led the Yeomen with 7 rebounds and Spencer had a team-high 3 assists.
