Brooklyn 70, Hunter 67

Brooklyn, NY — Damek Mair knocked down a 3-point basket as time expired as Brooklyn College won their first conference game of the season, a 70-67 decision over Hunter College. On the previous possession, Miguel Lopez missed a runner in the lane which could've give Brooklyn the lead, but after the miss Lopez forced a jump ball giving BC possesion under their basket with 1 second remaining. Mair finished the game 10 points and 6 assists. Jeffrey Jean-Baptiste scored 20 in the win, leading all scorers in his first game back from an ankle injury that sidelined him for the last 6 games. Nelson Pierre led the way for Hunter with 15 points on 6-6 from the field.
