Piedmont jumped out of the gates to gain an early 18-point first half advantage before the Eagles rallied with a 7-0 run to close out the first half. After leading 51-40 at halftime, the Lions turned up the defensive pressure to force TFC into 13 second half turnovers and 33% from the field.
Mike Adams led a balanced offensive attack that included four Lions in double-figures with a team-high 15 points including 10 before halftime.
The victory moves Piedmont to 10-7 overall on the season with the Lions returning to action on Saturday, January 28th with a Great South Athletic Conference road trip to defending champion Maryville College. Tip-off is set for 4:00 at MC's Cooper Athletic Center.
