University of Dallas 63, Rhema 53

Broken Arrow, OK — UD Lady Crusaders bounced back from a disappointing loss to Dallas Christian College last Thursday to pull ahead for the win in Broken Arrow, OK against Rhema who led by 1 point at the half.

The Crusaders put on a full court press that ultimately troubled the Lady Eagles and won the match 63-53.

Devonna Mitchell (So. Forward -- Tulsa, OK) gave the Crusaders trouble with 22 points and 20 rebounds. But, well-rounded play in the second half put UD on top. Ana Castillo (Dallas, TX) and Kristy Malone (Rosenburg, TX) again led the field with 14 points a piece, as well as 10 and 11 rebounds, respectively. Rounding out the other major point contributors was Beth Teer (McKinney, TX) with 8 points -- and 9 rebounds, as well as season highs from Chelsea Simonson (Liberty Hill, TX) with 10 and Sofia Castillo (Phoenix, AZ) with 9 points a piece.

The Crusaders host a classic this weekend. They take on Mount Mary at 6pm Friday and look to take one back from Rust College on Sunday at 2pm.
