Colby-Sawyer 58, Salve Regina 54

NEWPORT, R.I. — Colby-Sawyer College senior center Andrew St. Clair [SR/Pittsfield, Maine], the leading scorer in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), scored 14 of his game-high 22 points in the second half to lead the Chargers to a 58-54 victory over Salve Regina University.

St. Clair finished perfect from the floor (10-for-10), but misfired on seven of nine free-throw attempts. His six-foot jumper at the 16:19 mark in the second half gave Colby-Sawyer its first lead (34-33) and the Chargers never trailed after that.

A three-pointer from Nate Truncellito [JR/Manchester, N.H] gave Colby-Sawyer its largest lead (53-44) with 6:42 remaining, but Matt Coute [SR/Somerset, Mass.] scored the next seven points to bring the Seahawks within two (53-51). St. Clair scored the game's final field goal after taking an inbounds pass from Collin Bray [SR/Brookline, Mass.] with 35 seconds left.

Coute finished with 14 points while Andrew Rego [SO/Little Compton, R.I.] and Matt Grendal [JR/Foxboro, Mass.] had 13 and 11 points, respectively, for the Seahawks. Salve Regina (8-8; 2-6 CCC) suffers its fifth straight defeat while Colby-Sawyer (7-8; 5-2 CCC) earns its third straight conference victory to maintain a third-place standing in the league's North Division.
