Mississippi College 67, Texas-Tyler 57

CLINTON, MS — The #18 ranked Mississippi College Choctaws (14-1, 11-1 ASC) won their ninth game in a row Saturday beating the University of Texas at Tyler 67-57 in A. E. Wood Coliseum.

The Choctaws were able to pick up the win despite a terrible shooting night where they made just 1 of 15 three point attempts and hit 36 percent of their shots overall.

The score remained close for much of the game as Texas-Tyler entered the half behind 30-29. The Patriots gained the lead 43-42 midway through the second half before the Choctaws ran off ten straight points to take control of the game. Jazsmine Eugene accounted for six points during the ten-point run.

Eugene led the team with 12 points on 6-10 shooting.

The Patriots were led by Brandon Weasby's 12 points. Jamal Vanderbilt added eleven points.
