Tarra Richardson scored 20 points and added 10 rebounds; Symbri Tuttle had her second-straight double-digit assist performance as she accumulated 11 and added two steals.
Mary Hardin-Baylor came out firing on all cylinders in the first half hitting four of its first seven three point attempts. The visitors led by as many as eight before McMurry closed the gap before intermission trailing by five 33-28.
The Lady Indians shot just 11 of 30 in the first half and turned the ball over 11 times before halftime. Richardson scored eight points and had six rebounds while Maigen Sawyer added six on a pair of 3-point buckets.
Jessica Wurzbach wore out McMurry in the first half from the pain scoring 13 points and her teammate Julie Amabile added nine.
The Lady Indians countered their poor shooting first half with a 69 percent effort in the second half hitting 20 of 29 shots and nailing 5 of 10 attempts from beyond the 3-point line.
Shannon Barnes put Mary Hardin-Baylor up one point with 4:22 remaining on her second successful free-throw attempt, but then McMurry went on a 11-2 run to close out the contest
Sawyer scored 16 points and added a second pair of 3-pointers in the second half finishing 4 of 9. Carli Engelke and Kaycee Venekamp finished in double figures for McMurry with 14 and 11 points respectively. Dee Dee Burton scored nine points off the bench.
The Lady Crusaders got 21 points from Wurzbach, Amabile finished with 14 and Barnes scored 14 in the losing effort.
McMurry moved to 16-0 overall and 13-0 in the American Southwest Conference while Mary Hardin-Baylor fell to 3-13 overall and 3-10 in the ASC. The Lady Indians hit the road Thursday to play Texas Lutheran in Seguin.
