The Lady Indians countered their poor shooting first half with a 69 percent effort in the second half hitting 20 of 29 shots and nailing 5 of 10 attempts from beyond the 3-point line.

Shannon Barnes put Mary Hardin-Baylor up one point with 4:22 remaining on her second successful free-throw attempt, but then McMurry went on a 11-2 run to close out the contest

Sawyer scored 16 points and added a second pair of 3-pointers in the second half finishing 4 of 9. Carli Engelke and Kaycee Venekamp finished in double figures for McMurry with 14 and 11 points respectively. Dee Dee Burton scored nine points off the bench.
