Manhattanville 88, Brooklyn 41

PURCHASE, N.Y. — Sophomore Brian Fink (Queens, N.Y.) led all scorers with 18 points as the Manhattanville Valiants cruised to an 88-41 win against the Brooklyn Bridges.

Senior Mike Benziger (Sonoma, Calif.) tallied 17 points, while senior Jerry Fiefie (Stamford, Conn.) added nine points and nine boards.

For Brooklyn, senior Tes Choudri (Queens, N.Y.) scored 16 points on 7-of-15 shooting and senior Damek Mair (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added 12 points to pace the Bridges.

The Valiants led 49-24 at halftime opened up the second half on a 12-2 run to pull away.

Manhattanville committed a season low eight turnovers and shot 49 percent from the floor.

Defensively, the Valiants held Brooklyn to 31 percent shooting and tallied eight blocks led by the duo of Fiefie with four and freshman Jason Walsh (Bronx, N.Y.) with three.

Brooklyn will play in the consolation game on Sunday at noon. The Valiants will play at 5 p.m. on Sunday in the championship game.
