Brandeis 72, Chicago 60

CHICAGO — Florian Rexhepi and Kwame Graves-Fulgham each collected 17 points and six assists as Brandeis defeated Chicago 72-60 in University Athletic Association men's basketball action Friday night at the Ratner Athletics Center.

Chicago (9-6 overall, 2-2 UAA) led 37-30 at the half. Brandeis (8-6, 1-3) took the lead for good, 42-41, at the 15:42 mark of the second period on a layup by Steve DeLuca, who finished with 15 points.

The Judges took a double-digit lead for the first time, 59-48, with 6:37 to go on a Joe Coppens three-point basket. Brandeis led by at least 10 points for the game's final 2:34.

Chicago shot 50% from the field in the first half, while Brandeis shot 46%. In the second stanza, the Judges connected at a 58% clip from the floor to just 32% for the Maroons.

Jason Hicks led the Maroons with 19 points. Jesse Meyer added 13.
