Mount Aloysius 113, Pitt-Greensburg 112

Cresson, PA — Despite scoring a season-high 112 points, the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg Men's Basketball team was unable to defeat host Mount Aloysius College in conference play, as the Bobcats fell 113-112 tonight. The loss drops the Bobcats' record to 6-8 overall and 4-3 in the AMCC.

The Bobcats' offense clicked on all cylinders, as six players scored in double-digits, and the team shot a blistering 58% from the field. However, the Mounties matched the Bobcats point for point and knocked down 13 three-point field goals to put them over the top.

Pacing the Bobcats were Bill Scavincky and Duke Cooper, who both turned in remarkable performances. Scavincky was perfect from the field as he knocked down all 13 of his field goal attempts en route to a team-high 26 points. Cooper added 21 points and posted team-highs with eight rebounds, eight assists, and four steals.

Chris Streett added 13 points and three assists, while David Winfrey and Daniel Waajid each posted 12 points. Rashad Davison rounded out the double-figure scorers with 10 points.

The Mounties saw three players surpass the 20-point mark, led by Jimmy Snyder with 26. Roman Mims and Sam Hanik added 25 and 22 points respectively.

The Bobcats' next action will come on Saturday, January 21, when they host Frostburg State University. Game time is schedule for 4:00 PM.
