KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Cazenovia College Wildcats men’s and women’s basketball teams both fell victim to potent Keuka College Storm offenses in their North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) double-header on Tues., Jan. 17, at Keuka College.

The Wildcat women’s squad lost to the Storm 42-72. With the defeat the Wildcats fell to 2-11 on the year and 2-4 in NEAC play. The loss for the Wildcats snaps a two-game win-streak. Keuka moves to 3-7 on the year with the win and 2-1 in conference play.

Three Keuka starters finished in double-figures for the Storm. Forward Lindsay Baker finished with a game-high 19 points and ten rebounds to record a double-double on the evening, guard Amy Chaffee scored 14 points and guard Alison Berwanger finished with 16 points.

Keuka’s starting point-guard, Sarah Dorman, finished with an impressive game-high 14 assists.

Ashley Lewis (’07, Whitesboro / Whitesboro HS), who was named the NEAC Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week and the Cazenovia College Courtyard by Marriott Student-Athlete of the Week on Tues., Jan. 17, finished with six points, four rebounds and four assists.

In the second game of the double-header, the Cazenovia men’s squad lost 53-76. With the defeat, the men’s team falls to 3-11 on the year and 2-4 in NEAC play. Keuka improved to 7-4 on the year and 3-1 in conference play.

Bryan Bishop (’06, Watertown / South Jefferson HS) scored a game-high 20 points and pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds to record his second double-double of the season. Bishop leads the Wildcats in 2005-2006 with 177 points scored.
