CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Senior forward Jonathan Webb scored a game-high 17 points to lead host Washington College to a 65-55 win over visiting Dickinson in a Centennial Conference men's basketball win this afternoon at Cain Athletic Center. Washington led for 37:08 of the game, but Dickinson (4-11, 2-6) was still within nine points, at 49-40, with 9:56 remaining in the second half. The Shoremen then went on a 14-1 run to extend the lead to 63-41 with 4:54 to go, putting the game away.
Webb scored his 17 points on 6-for-12 shooting from the field and 5-of-5 shooting from the line. Senior guard Kyle Stem added 13 points and was 8-for-11 from the line. Senior guard Travis Moore finished with eight points and dished out a game-high four assists, while senior guard Drew Hill swiped a game-high four steals.
Travis Doll was the only Red Devil to finish in double figures in scoring, totaling 14 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Mark Harrison added nine points for Dickinson.
Washington shot 39% in the game, while Dickinson shot 33%. The Shoremen maintained a 37-36 rebounding advantage.
The Shoremen return to action Wednesday with an 8:00 p.m. Centennial Conference home game against McDaniel.
