PLATTSBURGH, NY — The Plattsburgh State men's basketball team had four players score double-digits to lead the Cardinals to a non-conference victory over Ithaca 75-68. The Cardinals improve to 7-5 overall as the Bombers fall to 5-6.

After a halftime score of 36-36 and both teams shooting better than 40 percent, the Bombers shot just 29.4 percent in the second half while the Cardinals shot 61.1 percent.

Neither team led by more than five points for the majority of the second half. It wasn't until 1:39 in the second half when the Cardinals took the largest lead of the game 67-60. The Bombers drew within five with 41 seconds to go, but that was the closest the Bombers would get.

Travis Gorham, Anthony Williams and Kris Gibbs-Smith each contibuted 18 points while Jerrad Dumont added 11 points. Gorham also pulled down 13 rebounds for his third double-double of the season.

Plattsburgh will return to conference action on Tuesday, January 17th, when it hosts Oneonta State at 8 p.m. at Memorial Hall.
