After just shooting 25.7% (9-of-35) in the first stanza, the Griffins rebounded in the second to hit 51.7% (15-of-29) from the floor.
Gwynedd had two players with double-doubles in the win. Junior Chris DelBrocco scored 17 of his game-high 21 points in the second frame and pulled down a career-high 13 rebounds while junior Tom Keenan scored 20 points and also notched a career-best in rebounds, grabbing 17.
DelBrocco's trey capped a 10-2 run to start the second half which gave GM a 40-39 lead. Gwynedd would lead by as much as 62-50 with 8:10 left before the Mighty Macs (1-12, 0-6 PAC) chipped away to make it a five-point game with just over four minutes to play.
Kyle Finklea and Julius Lopez notched double-doubles for Immaculata with Finklea registering 17 points and 11 rebounds and Lopez recording 11 points and 10 boards. The team shot 20-of-62 (32.3%) for the game but just 5-of-26 in the second half.
Sophomore Kevin Lauer added eight points and 11 boards while junior Rashid Santiago chipped in 13 points. Gwynedd won the battle of the boards, 52-39.
