Kyle White led a balanced attack that featured four players in double figures by tallying 17 points. Booby Stineman added 16, while Luke Slater and Greg King contributed 13 and 10 respectively.
A tie game at the half (33-33), the Duhawks never trailed in the second half and opened as large as a 10-point lead. Free throws down the stretch made the difference as the Duhawks made six-of-eight in the final two minutes.
Tyler Daugherty led the Spartans (7-4, 0-4) with a game best 20 points. IIAC leading scorer Nick Thomas added 19, but was held in check down the stretch.
The Duhawks (10-3, 3-1) stayed in a tight battle at the the top of the conference standings with the win. Loras will host Luther on Friday night at 8:00 pm in the Fieldhouse before travelling to Central on Saturday.
