SCHENECTADY, NY — Drew Falls to Union (N.Y.), 70-47

Drew could not overcome a cold-shooting second half and fell to Union (N.Y.), 70-47. Melissa Kraft led the Rangers with 17 points while Courtney Cunningham added 15 and six rebounds. Drew falls to 5-6 on the season while the Dutchwomen improve to 6-4. Erika Eisenhut was the game’s high scorer with 20 points.

Drew trailed by just six at half-time and cut the lead to three with 14 minutes remaining in the game, but Union ended the game with a 15-2 run to secure the victory. Kraft had another strong game with 17 points, five rebounds and a steal. Cunningham’s 15 points were supplemented by six boards, two assists and two steals. Maggie Marquis had six assists on the night.

Unfortunately for the Rangers, Union was in good form having won six of seven games. The Dutchwomen have averaged 21 wins over the last three seasons. Michelle Rogers scored a career high 18 points while Krystal Hammond added 16.

Drew travels to Lehman on Monday.
