Schreiner trailed 33-24 at the halftime and kept the game close halfway through the second half before MC closed the door.
Senior forward Lonnie Vasquez came off the bench to provide the offense for the Choctaws. The 6'6" Vasquez knocked down 5-9 shots and scored a team high 16 points to go along with eight rebounds.
Devin Jones, David Doty, and Ryan Hudson each added nine points for the Choctaws.
Schreiner was led by Kevin Deans who finished with 18 points and six rebounds. Jonathan Young and Brandon Burke scored 12 and ten points, respectively.
The difference in the game was on the boards where the Choctaws dominated outrebounding Schreiner 47-26. MC shot 44 percent from the field and held Schreiner to 39 percent.
