Washington's only lead of the game was at 2-0 following the contest's first possession. Hamilton a 45-37 lead at halftime and pushed the lead to as many as 20 points in the second half. The Continentals held a 45-39 advantage on the glass and committed 14 turnovers to Washington's 20.
Tim Welchons led Hamilton with 21 points, while Staunton Peck recorded a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 14 rebounds, six of them offensive, and dished out a game-high five assists. Harlee Wood added 15 points and seven rebounds, six of them offensive. Nick Jones contributed 14 points and seven rebounds, while Phil Valenti tallied 12 points, seven rebounds, and game-highs of five steals and two blocks.
Senior forward Jonathan Webb led all scorers by pouring in 22 points for the Shoremen. Webb, who shot 7-for-11 from the field and 8-of-10 from the line, also collected a team-high seven rebounds. Senior guard Drew Hill scored a career-best 11 points and knocked down all three of his three-point field goal attempts. Senior guard Travis Moore scored 11 points of his own to go along with a team-best four assists. Junior forward Joey Breslin added 11 points of his own, while senior guard Dustin Abbate finished with 10 points.
Hamilton shot 47% from the field, while Washington shot 43%. The Shoremen did convert 9 of their 21 three-point field goal attempts, while the Continentals were just 3-for-18.
