North Central (Ill.) 74, Illinois Wesleyan 70
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The North Central Cardinals came into the Shirk Center and defeated Illinois Wesleyan, 74-70, in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin opener for both teams on Wed., Jan. 4. The Cardinals built up a 34-30 lead at halftime and never trailed, leading by as many as 12. Adam Dauksas had 23 points to lead IWU while Keelan Amelianovich scored 15 and Cory Jones and Zach Freeman each had 12. Freeman led the Titans (10-1, 0-1 CCIW) with eight rebounds. Anthony Simmons had 29 points and 10 rebounds for the Cardinals (10-0, 1-0 CCIW). North Central also got 16 points from Adam Krumtinger and 12 from Dan Walton.
