St. Olaf (4-7, 2-4 MIAC) trailed by only six at the break, 43-37.
Bethel, which was 8-of-11 from three in the final 20 minutes, went on a 10-0 run to start the second half and a 20-4 run moments later.
The Oles have now lost five straight overall and three in a row in MIAC play.
Jon Butala had a team-best 14 points for St. Olaf. Bobby Hunter added 10 in the loss.
Tyson Bjorklund and Tim Madson chipped in 13 and 10 points for the Royals.
