The Britons scored the first five points of the game on a three-point basket by Silas and a jumper by Way and never trailed. Way’s second basket of the game pushed Albion to an eight-point lead, 10-2, just three minutes into the game. Sophomore guard D.J. Mocini drilled a three-point field goal to boost the Britons to a 17-7 advantage with 13:16 left on the first half clock.
Albion went on a 13-2 run over the final 6:27 of the first half to take a 38-17 lead at halftime. Silas scored five points in the run on a three-point field goal and two free throws.
Crawford scored the first two baskets of the second half as Albion took its biggest lead of the night, 42-17, with 18:26 to play. The Britons maintained at least a 14-point cushion the rest of the way.
Albion finished with its fourth-best shooting performance of the season, connecting on 29-of-57 shots from the field for 50.9 percent. Crawford knocked down 6-of-9 shots from the field and 5-of-6 shots from the line for 17 points. He also grabbed 14 rebounds. Way was 6-of-12 from the field for 12 points. Silas made all six of his opportunities from the free throw line.
Billy Collins, Jr. scored 20 points to lead Adrian (6-6 overall).
Albion (10-1 overall) returns home to face Tri-State University of Angola, Ind., Saturday night at 7:30.
