UW-La Crosse 88, Northland 54

Ashland, WI — The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's basketball team improved to 11-2 with a 88-54 non-conference victory at Northland College Tuesday night. Northland drops to 0-9 on the season.

UW-L never trailed in the game, racing out to a 6-0 lead. The Eagles led by as many as 30 in the first half at 40-10 with 3:31 remaining. Northland cut the lead to 44-25 at halftime.

Northland could get no closer than 22 in the second half.

Chris Fehrenbach and Joe Bemis led UW-L with 12 points each while Brandon Brown added 11.

Fehrenbach also finished with three assists and three steals while Bemis had six rebounds and Brown four assists with two steals.

Joe Werner added six points and a game-high 10 rebounds for the Eagles.

UW-L shot 44.7% from the field, including 38.9% (seven-of-18) from three-point range. The Eagles were 13-of-16 (81.3%) at the free throw line.

Mike Christenson led Northland with 13 points.
