Farmingdale State 75, Stevens 54

Farmingdale, NY — The Farmingdale State men’s basketball team defeated Stevens (15-12) tonight, 75-54, to advance to the Skyline Conference Finals for the second year in a row. The Rams held a five-point lead at halftime, 27-22, and used a 19-8 run early in the second half to increase the margin by 19. Farmingdale State shot 62-percent from the field in the second and out-rebounded the Ducks 48-29.

Senior forward Kenny McMillan (Bronx, NY/All Hallows) led the Rams with game-highs of 22 points and 13 boards, along with four assists and three steals. Freshman guard Daimien Santana (Brooklyn, NY/Grady) tallied 17 points and four assists. Junior guard Terry Menefee (Mission, KS/Shawnee Mission North) finished with 11 points.

Sophomore guard Waleed Farid (Woodside, NY/Stuyvesant) led Stevens with 17 points, while Isaac Moore (Phoenix, AZ/Moon Valley) totaled 11 points. Tim Williams (Selden, NY/Newfield) was the only other Duck in double figures with 10 points.

The Rams (21-5) now host #2-seed Manhattanville Valiants in the Finals on Saturday night at 7:00pm. Manhattanville defeated #3-seed Mount Saint Mary tonight, 89-85. The winner of this game receives an automatic bid to the Division III NCAA Tournament.
