Lasell 80, Elms 47

CHICOPEE, Mass. — Elms College senior forward Danielle Dugre (Holyoke, MA) dropped in a team-high 18 points, but host Lasell College place three players in double figures and pulled away from a 12-point halftime lead to earn an 80-47 win over the Blazers in Tuesday night’s North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Women’s Basketball Tournament quarterfinal at Newton, Massachusetts.

The Blazers (9-16) lost their third straight game and were eliminated from the conference tournament. The Lasers improved to 15-11 and now advance to Friday night’s conference semifinals.

Freshman forward Shauna Sullivan (Chicopee, MA) and sophomore guard Raemarie Josefiak (Springfield, MA) scored seven points apiece for the Blazers, who were outscored 44-23 in the second half.
