The visiting Red Devils put on a good show in the first half, keeping the lead for the majority of it before the Regents finally wrestled the lead from them with just a few minutes left in the half. In the second half, though, the Regents took the game and ran with it, running their lead up as high as 19 before ending with an 18-point lead. This result sets the Regents up for the semifinal game at Aurora University on Wednesday night at 7:30 PM. The Regents are 0-2 against the Spartans this season, but they do not intend to be sitting on the sidelines for Saturday’s championship game. In the other half of the bracket, Concordia University – River Forest defeated Benedictine University and will play Clarke College on Wednesday night. The winner of that game will play the winner of the Aurora-Rockford game for the championship on Saturday. The game will be hosted by the highest remaining seed in the tournament.
