Krull finished with 14 points and six assists on seven-for-seven shooting from two-point range before Pete Rortvedt and Steve Hicklin took over the offense as each scored 12 points in a 48-point second half.
Rortvedt matched a career-high with 18 points and grabbed a career-best 10 rebounds. His biggest play came in the closing seconds of the first half when he drained a three-pointer from the left corner for a 37-27 halftime lead. Hicklin had 19 points, finishing eight-for-10 from the floor on primarily mid-range jumpers.
The Pointers shot 54.1 percent from the field and held UW-Superior to 31.7 percent shooting. Leonard Cobb, the league’s leading scorer and rebounder, scored 22 points and had nine rebounds, but was eight-for-22 from the field.
