The Eagles shot miserably in the first half, making just ten of 31 shots, including 4-20 on three point attempts. York, meanwhile, shot 51.3% for the half, led by 18 points in the opening frame by Kenny Fass.
Led by junior point guard A.J. Fitzgerald, who played his first game in over a month due to a foot injury, shot immensely better in the second half, making 10-18 threes and shot 55.9% from the floor, but were unable to draw closer than ten points.
Fitzgerald led UMW with 16 points, while Justin Baker scored 15, and Jon Pierce and Kiernan Whitworth each scored 13. York was led by Chad McGowan's 28 points and Fass' 24.
UMW will host a CAC Tournament Quarterfinal on Tuesday at 8 pm as part of a doubleheader with the UMW women. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students.
