Johnson State 74, Elms 68

CHICOPEE, Mass. — Elms College senior forward Danielle Dugre (Holyoke, MA) netted a game-high 24 points, but Johnson State College had four players reach double figures and also overturned a three-point halftime deficit to earn a 74-68 win over the Blazers in Saturday afternoon’s North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women’s basketball regular season finale for both teams at the Maguire Center.

The Blazers lost for the sixth time in their last seven games to fall to 9-15 overall, 8-10 NAC. The Badgers won for the sixth time in their last seven games to improve to 12-12 overall, 9-9 NAC.

Johnson State, which overcame a 37-34 halftime deficit, defeated Elms College for the second time in two weeks to earn third place in the final regular season NAC West Division standings.

Junior forward Sarah Bose (Enosburg, VT) finished with a team-high 22 points on 10 of 22 shooting and senior forward Kaci Spear (Vergennes, VT) registered the game’s lone double-double with 11 points and a game-high 17 rebounds for the Badgers in the victory.

Senior guard Karen Prattico (Holyoke, MA) added a season-high 15 points for the Blazers in the loss.

Both Elms College and Johnson State College will await their seedings in the upcoming NAC Tournament, which begins with the quarterfinal round on Tuesday, February 21.
