The win avenges a 62-60 loss to the Golden Flyers back in January, the Cardinals only loss in 2006.
After a made free throw by Raymie Auman with 11 seconds left gave Fisher a 67-62 lead, Nazareth's Jeff DeHimer made two free throws with three seconds left, cutting the Fisher lead to three.
The Cardinals, ranked 16th nationally, turned the ball over deep in their own end with one second left, as Auman caught a deflected inbound-pass with a foot on the sideline. Nazareth's Matt Groot attempted a 3-pointer from 10 feet beyond the top of the key, that rattled in and out as time expired.
Mike McGee led Fisher with 18 points, including five 3-pointers, while Sean O'Brien added 15 points and eight assists. Justin Beigel recorded a double-double, finishing with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Nazareth's Joe Canori led the Golden Flyers with 26 points, including 20 in the second half. Canori kept Nazareth within striking distance throughout the second half, as the sophomore knocked down six 3-pointers over the final 20 minutes. Groot chipped in with 15 points, while Kyle Nelson finished with eight.
Nazareth jumped out to 18-7 lead over the game's first 10 minutes, as the Cardinals made just two of their first 15 field goals.
Fisher (21-3, 12-1 E8), however, shot 11-for-19 from the floor over the final 10 minutes of the half and outscored Nazareth 27-10 to take a 34-28 lead at intermission.
Nazareth regained the lead for the last time at 49-48, midway through the second and tied the game with 6:27 left, but back-to-back layups from O'Brien and a jumper from Nick Bennett gave Fisher a six-point lead with five minutes to go.
