CHICOPEE, Mass. — Elms College sophomore guard Raemarie Josefiak (Springfield, MA) netted a game-high 16 points to lead the Blazers to a 48-39 victory over Bay Path College in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women’s basketball game at the Maguire Center on Tuesday night.

The Blazers snapped a four-game losing streak to improve to 9-13 on the season, 8-8 in the NAC. The loss kept the Wildcats winless at 0-18 on the season, 0-16 in the NAC.

Josefiak also grabbed ten rebounds on the night to notch her first double-double of the season for the Blazers. The sophomore added four assists on the night as well.

Elms College held the Bay Path to 27.5 percent shooting for the contest and out rebounded its opponent 55-44.

Sophomore forward Martha Arment (Lee, MA) chipped in ten rebounds off the Blazer bench to go along with her four points in the victory.

Wildcat sophomore center Chrissy Ordyna (Great Barrington, MA) had 19 points and ten rebounds in the loss.

The Blazers will continue play Friday night at the Maguire Center as they take on Castleton State College in an NAC game. Tip off will be at 6:00 p.m.
