LEICESTER, Mass. — Elms College junior guard David Williams (Hartford, CT) dropped in a team-high 19 points and the Blazers had 13 players score en route to a 97-80 win over Becker College in Tuesday night’s North Atlantic Conference (NAC) men’s basketball game at Leicester, Massachusetts.

Elms College extended its winning streak to five games to improve to 17-6 overall and remained atop the NAC West Division standings at 12-1. Becker fell to 3-20 overall, 1-12 NAC.

Williams, who earned NAC Player of the Week honors this past week, went 7 of 14 from the field en route to his team-high total.

Senior center Anthony Bernard (Tamarac, FL) netted a season-high 13 points and freshman guard Ellis Jones (Roxbury, MA) added a collegiate career-high 10 points in just 12 minutes for the Blazers, who jumped out to a 57-38 lead at intermission.

The Hawks had four players reach double figures in the loss, highlighted by senior center Jeff Kotkowski’s (Melrose, MA) game-high 22-point, 24-rebound effort.

Elms College concludes regular season play with conference home games this weekend, beginning with Friday night’s 8:00 p.m. game against Castleton State College.
