Pitt-Greensburg 97, Medaille 84Buffalo, NY — The Medaille College mens basketball team dropped their final home game of the season as they fell to AMCC foe Pitt-Greensburg (97-84). The loss drops them to (4-19) overall and (3-13) in conference play. It was a game that saw the Mavs and Bobcats tied (47-47) at the half and the outcome of the game was in question until the final six minutes as Greensburg dominated down the stretch. The Mavericks were led by James McNeil (Erie, PA Northwest Collegiate Academy) who had a game high (36) points one night after setting a single game scoring mark with (48) against Frostburg State. Also, having a huge night for Medaille was Scott Hack (Angola, IN Angola) who had (25) points including hitting on (5 of 10) three pointers, the last one he connected gives him (100) for his career. In the victory the Bobcats were led by Duke Cooper (Reston, VA South Lakes) who flirted with a triple/double as he notched (22) points, (9) assists, and (8) rebounds. Another key factor in the win was Bill Scavincky (Irwin, PA Penn-Trafford) who poured in (19) points while grabbing a game high (12) boards. The win moves Pitt-Greensburg to (15-9) overall and (13-4) in AMCC play. The Mavericks will travel to Mt. Aloysius College on Friday to take on the Mounties.
