Loras scored the first six points of the second half to take a 10-point lead, but Simpson cut the margin to four when Ryan Hittenmiller sank a three-pointer at the 15:38 mark. Loras outscored Simpson 12-6 over the next six minutes to push the lead back into double figures. The Storm cut the lead to nine with 6:58 to go, but that would be as close as the Storm would get going down the stretch.
