The Saxons (10-13, 4-7 Empire 8) were down by only one point at the half. The second half was a tight battle until the Bombers took the win at the end. Ithaca outrebounded Alfred 41-26.
Senior guard Quentin Bryant led the Saxons with 25 points and four rebounds. Junior forward Dillon Stein finished the game with 17 points and four rebounds for the Saxons. Senior forward Todd Dersham netted 15 points and grabbed four rebounds, while senior guard Chris Lemasters added 11 points and three assists.
Ithaca (11-11, 7-4 Empire 8) was led by Jim Bellis who had a game high 31 points and 13 boards. Brendan Rogers finished with 16 points and five rebounds while Jonathon Whetstone added 13 points, five rebounds and a game high eight assists.
