Tied For 8th: Both Sewanee and Hendrix won tonight and are 3-8 in SCAC play and tied for 8th. The top eight teams advance to the SCAC tournament, Feb. 24-26, in Memphis. Hendrix hosts Rhodes on Saturday. Each team has three SCAC games remaining. Tie Breaker: If both teams remain tied at the end of the regular season, the first tie breaker is head-to-head meeting. Hendrix defeated Sewanee, 73-67, in Conway, Ark. on Jan. 29.
Rose-Hulman led at halftime, 35-33, but Garcia scored 15 second half points to spark the Tigers to victory.
Rose-Hulman was led by Munchie Muskeyvalley with 16 points, while Lorenzo Rice and Brennan Dunville had 11 each.
Down The Stretch: The game was tied at 67-67 at 1:21. Gary Grizzle's layup gave Sewanee the lead for good at 69-67 with 42 seconds remaining.
Rose-Hulman's Muskeyvalley missed a 3-pointer with four seconds remaining and trailing Sewanee by two, 71-69. Sewanee's Ben Campbell made two free throws with one second remaining for the final.
