Nate Hainje's three-point basket gave Chicago (12-9 overall, 5-5 UAA) an early 7-4 lead, and the Maroons would remain ahead the rest of the evening. Hainje notched his third straight double-digit effort with 11 points.
Chicago opened up a 37-24 lead at the intermission and matched its largest lead of the game, 43-26, on a basket by Jason Hicks with 16:49 left in the contest. Hicks finished with 12 points.
Emory (9-12, 2-8) got as close as eight points, 58-50, when Spiros Ferderigos -- who led all scorers with 19 points -- converted a layup at the 4:49 mark. The Maroons responded with Woodhead field goals at 4:21 and 3:39 to put the game away.
Jesse Meyer and Matt Corning each collected 10 points as Chicago won its third consecutive game at the Ratner Center. Meyer grabbed a game-high eight rebounds.
The Maroons shot 50% from the field and 80% from the foul line, while Emory connected at a 37% rate from the floor and shot 50% from the free throw stripe.
Jeff Hall added 16 points for the Eagles, who fell for the seventh time in their last eight outings.
