Nate Hainje's three-point basket gave Chicago (12-9 overall, 5-5 UAA) an early 7-4 lead, and the Maroons would remain ahead the rest of the evening. Hainje notched his third straight double-digit effort with 11 points.

Chicago opened up a 37-24 lead at the intermission and matched its largest lead of the game, 43-26, on a basket by Jason Hicks with 16:49 left in the contest. Hicks finished with 12 points.
