Thurman scored 19 points with seven rebounds, while Haynes dropped in 12 points with eight boards. Thurman needs 12 points to move in fourth place on the Thomas More NCAA period scoring list.
Waynesburg seized control of the game with an 11-0 run midway through the second half after the Saints had trimmed the lead to two.
Despite trailing for the entire game, Thomas More threatened the Yellow Jacket advantage. However, every time TMC crawled to within one possession, Waynesburg had an answer.
Freshman Matt Tierney (Louisville/Trinity) added nine points and eight rebounds for Thomas More.
Thomas More will wrap up the home portion of its schedule when they host Westminster 3 p.m. Saturday. It will be the final home for Thurman.
