Wesley 77, Immaculata 65

Immaculata, PA — Tyrell Brown and Rashawn Johnson scored 17 points apiece to lead Wesley College (13-10, 11-5 PAC) to a 77-65 win over Immaculata University (4-18, 3-12) in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night. Immaculata was led by Julius Lopez’ 23 points.

Wesley outscored Immaculata 47-34 in the second half after trailing by one at the break. After Immaculata’s Dan Lepone opened the second half with a basket to raise the Mighty Macs lead to three, Wesley responded by ripping off 21 of the next 28 points to take command of the game.

Immaculata would cut the margin to six points with just under five minutes to play, but the Mighty Macs could get no closer.

Wesley’s Nick Minor finished with 13 points, including a lay-up with 12 seconds remaining for the 1,000th point of his career.

Alphonzo Wright finished with 12 points to give Wesley four players in double figures. Immaculata’s Kyle Finklea finished with 12 points.
