Pitt-Greensburg 75, Penn State-Altoona 65

GREENSBURG, PA — After battling back and forth for 35 minutes, the Pitt-Greensburg Men's Basketball team used a late surge to pull away from Penn State Altoona, and win 75-65. The win improves the Bobcats to 14-8 overall, and 12-3 in the AMCC. It was also the tenth consecutive home victory for the Bobcats, who are unbeaten in Chambers Hall Gymnasium this season.

The Bobcats honored two seniors on the night, Duke Cooper (Reston, VA/South Lakes/Robert Morris) and David Winfrey (Uniontown, PA/Uniontown), and both turned in outstanding performances. Cooper, led the Bobcats with 17 points, four assists, and three steals. He knocked down 9 of 10 free throws on the night. Winfrey, contributed 12 points and knocked down two three-point field goals for the Bobcats.

Also in double digits for Pitt-Greensburg were Rashad Davison (Washington, PA/Washington) and Edward Montgomery (Homestead, PA/Steel Valley) who scored 12 and 10 points respectively. Bill Scavincky (Irwin, PA/Penn-Trafford) led the Bocats with eight rebounds and two blocked shots.

The Bobcats will be back in action on Friday, February 10, when they travel to face Hilbert College. Tip-off will be at 8:00 PM.
