Dudley, MA — Nichols College improved to 8-12 overall and 4-7 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference with a 79-55 victory over Anna Maria College tonight on the campus of Nichols College. Nichols will host Gordon College on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 1 p.m. Anna Maria is now 3-20 and 0-14 in the CCC.

Four of the Nichols College starters each reached double figures to lead the Bison to victory. Sophomore Justin Lewis (Hopedale, MA) had 15 points and six rebounds, while sophomore Chris Vallee (Ashburnham, MA) had 11 points, four assists and five rebounds. Senior Casey Butler (E. Longmeadow, MA) had 10 oints and four assists, while freshman Greg Sturdahl (Exeter, RI) notched 10 points and four assists.

Nichols slowly pulled away last in the first half when sophomore Eric Foster (Rochester, NH) came off the bench and hit two straight 3-pointers. Foster finished with just six points in 11 minutes but it helped the Bison pull away from the Amcats.

The Amcats were led by Anthony McDonald (Oxford, MA) had 11 points, while senior Adam O’Malley (Sterling, MA) finished with eight points.
