PURCHASE, N.Y. — Behind a season high 21 points and 11 rebounds from senior Jerry Fiefie (Stamford, Conn.), the Manhattanville Valiants defeated the Mount Saint Mary Blue Knights 88-76.

Sophomore Donte Chisolm (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) scored 12 points and dished out nine assists, while junior John DiBetta (Valhalla, N.Y.) scored 14 points and hauled in six rebounds behind a sellout crowd at Kennedy Gym.

For Mount Saint Mary, junior Mike Hoyt (Florida, N.Y.) scored a game-high 35 points on 10-of-22 shooting from the floor and 11-for-13 from the free throw line.

The win moves Manhattanville to 14-8 overall, 9-3 at home and a half game back of the Blue Knights for second place in the Skyline Conference at 8-4. Mount Saint Mary drops to 9-4 in the conference and 18-5 overall.

Other contributors for Mount Saint Mary included 19 points from senior Brandon Weldon (Elmsford, N.Y.) and 15 points and seven rebounds from senior Julio Ramirez (Queens, N.Y.).

Manhattanville shot 53 percent from the floor and out rebounded the Blue Knights 56 to 27.

Off the bench, junior Cody Moffett (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored 19 points and added eight rebounds for the Valiants and freshman Justin Morris (West Haven, Conn.) chipped in with seven rebounds and five points.

Manhattanville’s next game will take place on the road on Saturday against the Stevens Ducks starting at 2 p.m.
