GROVE CITY, PA — Senior R.K. Thurman passed a career milestone Saturday as Thomas More fell to Grove City, 72-62.

With his first basket of the second half Thurman scored his 1,001 first career point becoming the 26th person in school history to reach the plateau. He is just the fifth Thomas More player in the Saints' NCAA period to reach 1,000.

Runs of 9-1 and 13-3 in the first half helped Grove City seize control of the contest, opening up a 18-point lead.

Thurman finished the game with 14 points and six rebounds, while freshman Brandon Bolden had 11 points and two boards. Junior E.J. Haynes recorded nine points, six rebounds and seven blocks for Thomas More.

Thomas More (2-20 overall, 2-6 PAC) will host Waynesburg at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
