The win improves Carroll to 17-3 overall, 11-2 in the Midwest Conference while Knox falls to 3-17 overall, 1-12 in league play.
The Lady Pioneers remain in a tie with Lawrence University atop the league standings with Ripon College and St. Norbert College one game behind at 10-3. Carroll has pivotal games at Ripon on Feb. 11 and at home versus Lawrence on Feb. 15.
Both Carroll and Knox struggled from the field with each finishing the game with shooting percentages below 40% (Carroll 38.2%, Knox 36.5%).
Carroll’s dominance in the game came on the boards, where they held a 46-33 rebounding advantage, including 23 rebounds on the offensive end of the court.
Sophomore Kim Wickert and senior Melanie Foreman gave Carroll four double-digit scorers, as they recorded 12 and 11 points respectively.
The Lady Pioneers earned votes in last week’s D3hoops.com top 25 poll. With three Midwest Conference wins this week, they figure to move into the top 30 in Monday’s poll.
