The Quakers led 28-22 with 6:24 remaining in the first half when a layup by Thomas Burge started the decisive run. A 3-pointer by Caleb Kimbrough pushed the lead to 11 before a layup by BC’s Kevin Nmah cut the margin to nine points, 33-24.
Guilford scored the next 12 points, starting with a 3-pointer by Burge. A short jumper by Eric Belkoski and another 3-pointer, this one by Jordan Snipes pushed the margin t0 41-24. A layup by Snipes and two free throws by Ben Strong gave the Quakers their biggest lead of the game, 45-24. Clay Michael then hit a jumper for the Eagles, making the halftime score 46-26.
A three-point play by the Eagles’ Michael Oblitey pulled the hosts to within 10 points, 61-51, with 7:03 remaining, but the Quakers answered with a five-point spurt and coasted the rest of the way.
Ben Strong led a balanced Quekers attack with game-highs of 20 points and 12 rebounds. Snipes finished with 16 points followed by Burge with 13 and Kimbrough with 10.
Michael and Josh Fox each scored 17 points for the Eagles.
The Quakers are now 10-11 overall and 8-6 in the ODAC while the Eagles fall to 8-12, 5-9 in the ODAC.
