YELLOW JACKETS NOW 6-5 IN CUNYAC
Junior guard Kareem Hanley (Canarsie / Brooklyn, NY) nailed a three pointer on a feed from senior guard Clyde Forteau (St. Raymond’s / Bronx, NY) with one second remaining in the game to give NYC College of Technology a 59-58 CUNYAC victory over Brooklyn College at the Klitgord Center, Friday night. Hanley, who has struggled through two different injuries this season finished the game with only seven points and three steals, while Forteau, the newest member of CUNY’s 1,000 point club scored 16 points (along with seven assists and five steals) in the home win.
Once again, Otis Saylee (Seward Park / New York, NY) led the Yellow Jackets (7-14, 6-5 CUNYAC) with 27 points on 12-21 shooting from the field. The 6’1” junior forward also accumulated seven rebounds, three assists and three steals. Freshman forward Kevin Hall (James Madison / Brooklyn, NY) led the team on the boards for the first time this season with eight caroms.
