Brooklyn 70, New York City Tech 57

Brooklyn, NY — Brooklyn College (10-12, 4-7 CUNYAC) got 13 points and 20 rebounds from sophomore forward Naysheen Collins as they went on to defeat New York City College of Technology, 70-57. Brooklyn expanded a 9 point halftime lead during the first few minutes of the second half, however City Tech continued to hang in the game as guard Amanda Ziemenski had a strong game with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Brooklyn College received big efforts from their sophomore backcourt of Jenny Varughese and Jaclyn Cavalcante. Varughese scored 18 points and Cavalcante scored 10 points and had game-highs of 5 assists and 4 steals. With the win Brooklyn College moves into a tie for 3rd place in the CUNYAC South division.
