Williams helped the Cardinals to a terrific night at the free throw line as he was perfect on all nine of his attempts and the team went 14-of-17 for an 82.4 percent clip.
After trailing 35-28 at halftime, Plattsburgh outscored Geneseo 38-24 in the second half thanks to a solid defensive effort while holding the Blue Knights to 31.0 field goal percentage. The Cardinals, meanwhile, made 11 of 24 attempts for 45.8 percent.
Geneseo's Joe Kling led the team with 14 points, and Scott Morton contributed eight rebounds. The Knights let a lead slip away despite dominating the boards by a 42-24 margin, including 20-5 on offensive rebounds.
